Now in Photos.app you cannot select by location in Shared album. Until OSX 10.13.2 Maill.app could not select mail by its presence in specific Account, something in there in prior releases. This is second time I hit these weird illogical limitations latest OSX versions where smart folders/albums/. Lots of high-tech options (like ISO? Lens? Shutter speed? Really? with our iPhones? who cares?), sure, but there is simply no chance of selecting only photos which are family shared.Ĭome on, Apple, did anyone actually tried to use the Photos.app for regular family user? How am I suppose to EASILY find out what my kids shared with me today? ![]() There seems to be no option of "Photo is in shared album = Family" anywhere. So, I wanted to create my own smart album - why not, it is easy enough. Cannot be done - per above described "documented behavior". I want to see our family shared album in order "newest first". I used to say "it just works" and now I have to admit, it ain't working. ![]() ![]() This really should change - it shows how Apple engineers are simply not thinking enough about how their products will be used.
